PROGRAM COORDINATOR, GET SMART B4 U GET SEXY
Lonnell Schuler (he/him) is the program coordinator for Get Smart B4U Get Sexy at Black Women for Wellness. He has worked in the reproductive justice non-profit world for going on five years now. He was previously employed as a peer educator for the same program: highlighting his commitment to eliminating health disparities that exist for our community.
As part of supporting the Get Smart program, Lonnell has worked hard to educate and empower youth to make the most informed decisions about their reproductive health and support at-risk communities through advocacy and policy. He has earned multiple accolades and awards, including the Soldier Award for his devotion and dedication to the Black community at the 2017 “Bring a Brother to Breakfast.”
Lonnell is from Los Angeles, CA, and received his BA in political science with an emphasis in Chinese and global health from Colorado College. As a former foster youth. He believes in health equity, community building, youth development, and innovative approaches to comprehensive sex education. When he is not at BWW, you can find him traveling the world, spending quality time with loved ones, or curating the perfect playlist for every mood!
