"YAW" FREDERICK L. DAVIS

MEMBER, BOARD OF DIRECTORS

“Yaw” Frederick L. Davis proudly sits on the Board of Directors for Black Women for Wellness.

Upon graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1984, he began his engineering career. During his 26-year engineering career, Mr. Davis served as a Design Engineer with Parker Hannifin Corporation for six years and as a Project Engineer, Research Engineer and Engineering Manager for the Boeing Company for 20 years.

Having obtained his private pilot’s license in 1993, Mr. Davis has logged more than 250 flight hours in Cessna 150’s, 152’s, 172’s, and Robin aircrafts. In addition to his aerobatic training, Mr. Davis is certified to perform maneuvers such as loops, aileron rolls, snap rolls, hammerhead stalls, and inverted flight. Aerobatics became a way for Mr. Davis to master the art of performing after he was inspired by Bessie Coleman, the first African American pilot to get a license.
