Black Women for Wellness To Host 4th Annual Bra Party for Breast Health Awareness

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 25, 2026) – Black Women for Wellness (BWW) will host its 4th Annual Bra Party, titled “Boobs & Bling 2026: Bigger, Bolder, Brighter” on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, CA.

This year, we’re going bigger, bolder, and brighter as we bring together the community for an afternoon celebration of breast health, Black joy, creativity, and sisterhood. Guests will enjoy BWW’s signature bra-decorating experience with rhinestones, feathers, fabric, paints and more. The event will also include a powerful panel discussion, bra fittings, wellness activities, a lingerie fashion show and a festive Second Line celebration honoring the strength, resilience, and beauty of Black women.

The event welcomes all — including mothers, survivors, advocates, allies, men, and anyone who wants to celebrate self-expression, body confidence, and the individuality of our bodies, regardless of shape or size.

Lunch will be provided. Tickets are free but RSVP is required here.

“Breast health is about more than early detection. It’s about having the knowledge, resources, and support to care for our bodies and advocate for our health,” says Arnedra Jordan, BWW’s Director of Programs. “We know the statistics. Black women continue to face disproportionately high breast cancer mortality rates due to systemic barriers. Our work at BWW is not only about improving breast health outcomes, but also making sure Black women feel confident and empowered about their breasts. The Bra Party is all about celebrating your body.”

“Black Women for Wellness’ annual Bra Party creates a joyful space for women to celebrate survivorship, connect with one another, and engage in meaningful conversations about our health,” says executive director Janette Robinson Flint. “Through events like this, we’re empowering women to take charge of their health and embrace confidence at every stage of life. We recognize that joy, healing, and advocacy are all part of our collective wellness.”
