In this time of political uncertainty, staying informed is more important than ever. That’s why we’re launching the Black Women for Wellness Blog — a dedicated space for policy updates, reproductive justice news, Black women’s health and rights, and actionable ways to protect our well-being.
As social media platforms become increasingly hostile and unreliable, many in our community are choosing to engage elsewhere. Our blog will serve as a trusted source for our own data reports, opinion pieces, and critical insights — unfiltered, unapologetic, and beyond the limits of an algorithm.
We will feature deep dives into our research and reports, including:
Centering Black Mothers in America
Your Human Right to Water: A Drinking Water Guide for South Los Angeles
Sexy Smart: Extracting Truths About Sex Education for Black Youth
Exposed: Ingredients in Salon Products & Salon Worker Health and Safety
Report on Healthcare Facilities and the California Dignity in Pregnancy and Childbirth Act
Black Hair Survey: You Have the Right to Know About Clean Beauty
In addition, we’ll highlight key issues and insights from our programs, covering topics such as reproductive justice (Sisters in Control), maternal and infant health, environmental justice, beauty justice, and holistic wellness (Sisters in Motion).
Through this blog, we’ll also uplift the work of our Fierce Aunties, explore the importance of civic engagement, and amplify the need for Black-led research and advocacy in healthcare and community well-being.
We have things to say. And we’re saying them here… on our terms.
