Teen Talk Foster Youth

A virtual sex ed series, topics include: Anatomy & Trust, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Birth Control, Healthy Relationships, Violence Prevention, Pregnancy Options, Body Image & Self-care, Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity, and Media Analysis.

Eligibility
- Youth in foster care, with open cases with DCFS, or suitably placed through probation.
- Youth ages 12-17, or 18 and enrolled in high school.
Fall 2024 Series Dates
- Tuesday – Friday: Sept. 10th, 11th, 12th, & 13th
- Monday – Friday: Sept. 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, & 20th
- 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Winter 2025 Series Dates
- Monday – Friday: Jan. 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, & 17th
- Tuesday – Friday: Jan. 21st, 22nd, 23rd, & 24th
- 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Benefits:
- Compensation: Youth have the potential to receive a $180 Target gift card for participating in the series.
- Meets SB89 Requirements for youth in foster care.
- Tested by former youth in foster care.
- Taught by Black Women for Wellness Health Educators.

- After the series, all incentives will be sent out within 7 days via email.
- Youth must attend at least 8 sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
