Over 380 million tons of plastic are produced every year and all of it harms humans and the environment. Plastic has been found in breast milk, placenta, in fish that people consume, and is a regular addition to many of our daily lives – so let’s talk about it!

Join Black Women for Wellness at our monthly Sisters @ Eight event on Friday September 8th at 9:30am PST in the Crenshaw DWP Community Room to dig into the lifecycle of plastic pollution! In partnership with BWW’s Environmental Justice Team, we’ll discuss how plastic is created, consumed, disposed of, and how the entire life specifically harms low income people and people of color.

We’ll also share some tips about how you can protect yourself and your family from harmful health effects, and you’ll be part of a town hall discussion about possible solutions! Join us for breakfast, discussion, and communal learning, and a few special gifts. RSVP here & there’s free parking on site.
