SIMONE TAYLOR
PROGRAM COORDINATOR, Black Maternal and Infant Health
Simone Taylor is the Program Coordinator for the Black Maternal and Infant Health program at Black Women for Wellness.
She is passionate about identifying and bridging gaps to develop sustainable solutions. Drawing on her professional and personal experiences from previous projects (e.g., birth equity, infant mortality, CYSHCN, community-based participatory research, community-engaged teaching, early education, etc.), Simone also desires to implement a systems thinking approach to enhance care, moving beyond isolated solutions. Ultimately, she strives to create a more equitable future for Black women and children by ensuring that all resources are accessible, effectively utilized, and that individuals are empowered to advocate for themselves.
Simone holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s Degree in Public Health concentrating in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
