She earned her master’s degree in elementary education from Arizona State University and her JD from the University of Southern California. Her passion for social justice is evident in her work as the Transformative Climate Community Network Manager for the Green Together Collaborative, where she supports the implementation of nine transformative environmental projects in the Northeast Valley, working to drive meaningful and sustainable change.
Originally from New York, Sophie has called Los Angeles home for the past six years. She enjoys photography, being in nature, experimenting with new recipes, and spending quality time with her dog. For her fellowship project, she is interested in exploring the ways the built environment upholds traditions of violence in the U.S., with a focus on California and Los Angeles.
